About The World
The World is a private residential community at sea with a continuous worldwide itinerary. Often compared to a private club and called the world’s largest private yacht, this stunning ship offers a warm and inviting experience.
The real essence of this exceptional travel experience and lifestyle is the blend of a comfortable, convenient and easy-going onboard atmosphere with the tempting opportunity to discover new destinations. The World offers little structure and few planned events. Instead, the atmosphere is that of an elegant enclave, which allows its Residents and Guests – usually only 150-200 onboard at a time - to be consumed by the ports we visit.
Sail with us for a minimum stay of six nights and revel in the perfect vacation option that meets the demanding expectations of the savviest of us – fabulous design, welcoming community, superb service and the best destinations.
Landmark Travel will offer $250 per person onboard credit when booked by December 31, 2008.
Life Onboard
When onboard you can also enjoy the many amenities of the onboard “village at sea”. The staff of 250 is there to ensure the Residents and Guests have a memorable experience. The ship boasts four top-class restaurants including French, Italian and Asian dining options. The chefs can even be booked to cook privately for you in your apartment. Other features on The World include a gourmet market and delicatessen stocked with local produce in every port of call; a fully-stocked library with daily newspapers; a full-service spa; and superior health and fitness facilities that include two swimming pools, and a full-size tennis court; a theatre for movies and lectures, an art gallery and a study provide more cerebral pursuits. A range of nice reading rooms, deck cafés, a card room and a range of bars allow for a variety of evening pleasures.
Awaken slowly and enjoy your mornings – play tennis at the only regulation size tennis court at sea, hit golf balls from the onboard golf facilities, or play with water “toys” from our Marina deck at the stern of the ship

Destinations and Adventure
Imagine waking up and watching polar bears frolicking in the snow. Or sailing into Sydney Harbor and seeing its elegant Opera House on the horizon. How about treks through Brazilian Rainforests? Being so close to the locks of the Panama Canal that your can watch as they lift you from one side of the continent to the other? Cutting through the waters of the northernmost piece of land in the European continent as you sail past Norway’s North Cape, where the Arctic Ocean spreads for miles ahead? Such are only some of the daily adventures that await you when you share our life aboard The World.
What makes traveling on The World so different? We linger in each port for an average of two nights – sometimes staying for up to six nights. This gives you the opportunity to travel authentically – not as a tourist but as a local.
