Halibut in photo caught during fabulous stay at Tutka Bay Lodge (spa, cooking classes and more for non-anglers), in Homer, Alaska!
Luxury cruises, tours and adventure travel are my forte. I enjoy the challenge of booking individual Around the World itineraries. On any given day I'll be helping clients arrange World Cruises and then the next be planning ‘out of ordinary' experiences for other clients. If you're interested in private cooking classes in Tuscany, training with a private guide to climb the Matterhorn, visiting a tribal chief in the wilds of New Guinea, or fishing for Bonefish on Christmas Island, I'm your person.
My 40 + year career includes being a CTC, the highest accreditation in my field. Like my partners and staff, I pride myself with my personalized service that I bestow on my clients.
My Recent Trips
Budapest...do I need to say more? I was fortunate to visit Budapest this past Spring and loved every minute! An evening cruise on the Danube to see the city lit up at night is a must for every visitor. I arranged for a private guide for a 'Foodies & Wine Lover Walking Tour'; my guide was a food journalist who took me to the food stalls in the Central Market Hall where the locals shop (away from the tourists groups!). We walked most of the day, visiting surrounding neighborhoods, stopping in a spice shop, a coffee house (the city has many!), a tiny artisan chocolate shop with the most unique and delicious handmade chocolate combinations that Harrods of London's orders from. Of course the day included sampling at a traditional patisserie to sample some of the elegant cakes for which Hungarian bakers are known. The finale was a wine tasting which was the perfect way to end the day. I stayed at the Corinthia Hotel Budapest, a beautiful hotel with wonderful service. Hungary is not part of the EU and still has its' own currency...the US dollar was strong and shopping was great.
The trip included stops in Bratislava, Durnstein, Melk, day trip to Salzburg and ending in fabulous Vienna. Yes, a River Cruise is the way to go!
I like traveling to Europe in the Spring and May 2016 will bring another River Cruise from Basel to Amsterdam...can't wait!
My personal wish list for travel?
Patagonia, Antarctica, I have yet to see the Northern Lights...and so many other places to explore!
